The Hatfield Township Board of Commissioners recently enacted two major changes to township park rules. The first is a no smoking rule that applies to all township parks. The second lifts the ban on dogs in most parks. Leashed dogs in the company of a guardian are allowed in all township parks except School Road Park and Schweiker Park. The Aquatic Center also remains closed to dogs other than guide dogs.
Both rule changes address residents’ concerns for a clean and healthy environment in our park system and the opportunity to enjoy our parks with their pets.
