Schweiker Park

Schweiker Park Sign

1275 Moyer Road

For more than 50 years, this land adjacent to the former American Olean Tile Company was loaned by American Olean to youth softball and Little League teams. American Olean was sold in the 1990s, and Hatfield Township and Lansdale Borough joined together in 1997 to buy these 14 acres so as to continue the tradition of accommmodating youth sports on this land. Funding came from the Montgomery County Open Space program. This park is heavily used and very functional, and more trees and more onsite parking have enhanced its appeal. There is a "No Dogs" rule for this park, due to the high level of active sports activities occurring on the site's grounds.

Features include:

  • Four softball fields used by the North Penn Valley Girls Softball League
  • One hardball field used by the Lansdale Little League
  • Concession stand operated by the Lansdale Little League
  • Block garage/meeting area/refreshment stand, operated by the Girls Softball League
  • Dugouts and bleachers
  • Exercise trail (future)
